Insurance Claim Processing

For many going through Chemotherapy treatments, Trichotillomania, Alopecia, medically induced hair loss, or dealing with some level of hair loss, this may be an emotional time.  As a Cancer survivor, I have found that many clients are unaware that they may be able to claim their wig/topper through their insurance. Not all insurance companies cover wigs (cranial prostheses in the insurance claims language), but many DO!

Your reimbursement will depend on your particular policy.  You may wish to look into your coverage prior to making an appointment and choosing your new hair.  A hair piece you love can be as important as medication you take to treat any side effects. So please check into your coverage and obtain what is due to YOU!
